As I need to change the hard disk of my X40 I would like to know if I could use a SSD 1TB. Thank you for any support. Duarte

Hello Duarte 

there is no problem at all to use a SSD disk (and this in respect to noise the best solution !) 
The only thing which is required is to format the new disk in the X40 and to import the folder .DB from your backup.

Or - with your PC - to have there the old and new disk attached and to copy this folder ( .DB)  from the old disk to your new SSD.
