RE: Vinyl digitalisieren

Sorry I don't write in German but for those interested, this is how I digitise my vinyl using my x40.
I record 1 album (both sides) in 1 file on the x40 (I just turn the record while I keep on recording). When recording is done, I give the file the name of the album or artist.
Then I copy the file to a usb stick that I plug into my pc. I find the tagging and splitting up in tracks takes up way to many time when doing this on the x40.
On my pc I use Audacity, which is free software, once you are familiar it is very easy to work with. I split up tracks, which can even be done visually and then convert all tracks in one go (batch converting) to flac files, just naming them 1,2,3, etc....
After this I use mp3tag, also free software, to automatically tag all tracks (you give in an album title and mp3tag uses discogs or other databases to search for all tracks and other tag info like year, genre, etc.).
Once this is done you copy everything back to usb stick and put the stick into the x40 to import everything into the music database.
This looks like a lot of work, but when you get to know the software is much easier and faster than doing all the work with the x40. The best way is to record several albums and then do the splitting/tagging/converting all at once on pc or laptop.
If you have any questions regarding this, I'll be happy to help.
